CUPRA introduces Tribe Editions
CUPRA is introducing the new Tribe Editions for the Formentor, Leon, Leon Sportstourer, and Terramar models. These exclusive new versions redefine the brand’s concept of individualization, combining the bold, unconventional character of the CUPRA Tribe with a strong commitment to sustainable innovation.
The Tribe Editions are designed for a new generation of customers who are not only drawn to striking, differentiated design but also demand contemporary, forward-thinking sustainability.
This new lineup delivers on both fronts with a series of significant updates to the exterior and interior of the vehicles.
A new exterior color, Manganese Matt, is now available across all Tribe Edition models. This is complemented by other unique matt finishes like Century Bronze Matt (exclusive to Terramar) and Magnetic Tech Matt (exclusive to the Leon and Formentor), along with the Midnight Black. The exterior is further distinguished by dark chrome CUPRA logos and rear lettering, adding depth and a premium feel.
The new alloy wheels are a standout feature, incorporating 20% recycled material as part of CUPRA's dedication to its circular economy strategy. These wheels are available in unique designs and feature a new accent color, Sulphur Green.
Inside the cabin, the Tribe Editions take a giant leap forward in sustainable design and production. A key innovation is the use of 3D knitting technology for the bucket seats. This process, controlled by a computer-guided knitting machine, creates the seat material in its final three-dimensional form. This method completely eliminates the need for traditional cutting and sewing, resulting in zero material waste. The fabrics used in the central sections of both the front and rear seats are made from 100% recycled material.
The commitment to sustainability extends to other interior components. A new Sulphur Green paint by Manckiewicz, formulated with 15% bio-based material, is applied to the console trim and inner frame air diffusers. Additionally, the interior trim plastics integrate 30% recycled materials and 20% recycled plastic in the vehicles' spoiler front bumpers.
"The CUPRA Tribe desires a connection that goes beyond just driving; they want their vehicle to be an extension of their values," states Ignasi Prieto, Chief Brand Officer at CUPRA. "The exclusive Tribe Editions are a testament to this, blending our customers' demand for individuality with a growing eagerness for sustainable solutions. We are proud to incorporate new technologies that challenge convention and inspire a fresh way of thinking about both design and environmental responsibility."
The new Tribe Editions will be available across the entire range of powertrain options for the CUPRA Formentor, Leon, Leon Sportstourer, and Terramar. Production is scheduled to begin in the final quarter of the year.
