CUPRA KIRO partners up again with Dan Ticktum for Season 12

The partnership is confirmed. CUPRA KIRO and Dan Ticktum will fight together again in the 2025/26 FIA Formula E World Championship

A driver defined by his pure racing instincts and naturally competitive mindset, Dan will enter his fifth season in Formula E later this year. This move continues one of the longest and most stable driver-team combinations on the grid, marking Dan’s second season with CUPRA KIRO and his fifth overall with the Silverstone-based team.

The 2024/25 season was a breakthrough for the 26-year-old. After joining the grid from Formula 2 in 2021, he showed his full potential last year, claiming a landmark maiden podium in Tokyo, a maiden pole position in London, and an unforgettable first victory at the Jakarta E-Prix.

The team now looks to build on that success as testing for the coming campaign begins this October at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia, Spain. The season-opening São Paulo E-Prix is set for December 6, 2025.

Dan Ticktum: Building on a Breakthrough Year

The decision to continue comes from a shared belief that the team is on the right path. Dan views last season as a major step forward, where the team successfully optimized the car halfway through the campaign.

He is now focused on building on that foundation, confident that if they can start the new season strong, the car is good enough to secure more victories. His personal goal is a top-five finish in the championship, driven by a strong, positive connection with the people on his team.

CUPRA KIRO’s Perspective: A Proven Partnership

For CUPRA KIRO's leadership, continuing with Dan was a straightforward decision. Russell O’Hagan, the team's Chief Operating Officer, noted that the team has watched Dan develop since 2021 into one of Formula E’s most effective drivers.

Last season’s performances proved what the team has always believed: that he has the drive, instinct, and talent to fight at the front. The team is ready to continue that journey together in Season 12.

CUPRA Racing: Continuity as a Strategy for Progress

That belief is shared by the entire CUPRA family. Xavi Serra, Global Head of CUPRA Racing, confirmed that renewing with Dan was the right move after such an encouraging season.

His performance on track, his ability to adapt, and the strong connection he has built with the engineers and mechanics were all key factors in the decision. The brand believes there is still a lot of potential to unlock in this partnership.

This continuity is the essential ingredient for the team's progression and its fight for top results in Season 12.
